Special Weather Statement
ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED FOR MUCH OF SOUTHERN WI...
Clearing skies during the day Wednesday will lead to strong mixing
and thus relative humidities are expected to plummet to 15-25%
with very breezy winds (gusts to 40mph). This will lead to an
increased concern for fire weather.

Special Weather Statement
A band of light snow this evening (expected accumulations up to
1/2 inch) will be followed by a period of freezing drizzle
tonight into early Monday morning. Expecting roads that are not
snow covered or treated to become slick with freezing drizzle.
Precipitation will end west to east early Monday morning.
Leave extra time for travel tonight and use extra caution, as
conditions may be slippery due to the combination of snow and
freezing drizzle.

Special Weather Statement
A band of light snow continues to move across north-central and
northeast Wisconsin this evening. Visibilities in the light snow
were down to 2 and 4 miles at times.
Although accumulations under an inch are expected, the light snow
is expected to make roads, bridges and sidewalks slippery. If you
are traveling this evening, be prepared for reduced visibility
and slippery roads. Slow down and allow a little extra time to
reach your destination.

Special Weather Statement
Water freezing on roads, along with patchy fog that may freeze on
surfaces, may cause some slick spots and black ice tonight into
Thursday morning. Untreated and secondary roads would be the most
vulnerable areas, along with bridges and overpasses. Slow down and
drive carefully into Thursday morning, and allow for extra
stopping distance between vehicles.

Temperatures near or below freezing has resulted any untreated
roads, parking lots and sidewalks becoming slippery late this
evening. In addition, fog is being observed over parts of the
region, reducing visibility to a mile or less at times. Any fog,
in conjunction with wet road surfaces, could also result in
slippery stretches on untreated surfaces. Motorists are urged to
exercise caution during the morning commute and prepare for
changing road conditions. Even if the road looks wet, it could be
icy.

Special Weather Statement
Snow has diminished over central Wisconsin and will gradually
diminish through 10 pm over eastern Wisconsin, including the Fox
Valley. Expect additional fluffy snowfall less than 1 inch, mainly
for southern portions of the Fox Valley, including Oshkosh, to the
lakeshore. The snow has made roads slippery this evening, so if
you plan to head out give yourself extra time and increase the
following distance between you and the vehicle ahead of you. The
snow may mix with light freezing drizzle as it tapers off late
this evening, especially south of highway 10.
From: Dec 31, 2025 02:00
Until: Dec 31, 2025 05:00
Special Weather Statement
Light to occasionally moderate snow continues to move into
southern Wisconsin late this afternoon, and will continue into the
early evening hours. Visibilities as low as three quarters of a
mile are possible in the steadiest snows. While accumulation will
remain minor, slick spots are possible on elevated and untreated
surfaces. Light freezing drizzle may mix in with snow to the
south and west of Madison, which could lead to additional slick
spots. Precip will begin to move south of the region after 8 PM.
Budget a few extra minutes of travel time if taking to the roads
through early evening.
From: Dec 30, 2025 22:42
Until: Dec 31, 2025 02:00
Special Weather Statement
Snow is beginning to mix with freezing drizzle over central
Wisconsin. Expect this wintry mix to impact areas from Marathon
through Waushara counties, including Marshfield, Wisconsin Rapids,
and Coloma. Portions of I-39 and highways 10 and 29 may be impacted
by a wintry mix. The freezing drizzle and snow occurring with
temperatures well below freezing will lead to icy spots on untreated
roads, sidewalks, and other surfaces. Use caution if traveling this
evening by increasing your following distance and allowing extra time
to reach your destination.
Expect the snow and freezing drizzle to gradually diminish after 7
pm over central Wisconsin.
From: Dec 30, 2025 22:53
Until: Dec 31, 2025 02:00
Special Weather Statement
Snow will continue across the area into early this evening. Overall,
snow amounts will be an inch or less in most areas, but with the
cold temperatures, the snow will lead to slippery conditions on
less traveled and untreated roads. Visibility may be reduced to
less than an mile at times. Exercise caution when driving by
increasing your following distance and allowing extra time to
reach your destination.
Snow will begin to taper off over central Wisconsin after 6 pm, but
not until after 7 or 8 pm over eastern Wisconsin. Some light lake
effect snow showers will linger most of the night over far northern
Wisconsin.
