Ozone Action Day for the Houston, Galveston, and Brazoria area for
Thursday, September 4, 2025.
Atmospheric conditions are expected to be favorable for producing
high levels of ozone pollution in the Houston, Galveston, and
surrounding areas on Thursday. You can help prevent ozone pollution by
sharing a ride, walking, riding a bicycle, taking your lunch to work,
avoiding drive through lanes, conserving energy and keeping your vehicle

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the following
counties, Brazoria and Harris.
* WHEN...Until 315 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is
imminent.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 128 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Pasadena, northern Pearland, Deer Park, South Houston,
Bellaire, West University Place, Galena Park, Jacinto City,
Second Ward, Greater Eastwood, Greater Fifth Ward, Greater
