“UWAN” WEAKENS INTO A REMNANT LOW.
Location of eye/center : The Low Pressure Area (formerly "UWAN")was estimated based on all available data at 490 km North Northeast of Itbayat, Batanes (24.9, 123.6).
The Northeast Monsoon will bring occasionally gusty conditions reaching strong to gale-force strength over the following areas (especially in coastal and upland areas exposed to winds):

Up to 4.5 m: The seaboard of Batanes.

Up to 3.5 m: The northern seaboard of Babuyan Islands.

Mariners of motorbancas and similarly sized vessels are advised to take precautionary measures while venturing out to sea and, if possible, avoid navigation under these conditions.

Due to unfavorable conditions, UWAN weakened into a Low Pressure Area at 8:00 AM today. This remnant low will continue to move generally east northeastward towards the southern portion of Ryukyu Islands and may dissipate within the next 24 hours.
