Special Weather Statement
South to southwest winds will increase late tonight mainly after 4
am with gusts as high as 25 to 30 mph on Monday morning into early
Monday afternoon. This could develop blowing and drifting snow of the
fresh snow pack, especially on east-west oriented roadways along with
sudden reduced visibilities to less than a mile. Untreated roadways
may become snow covered and slippery again on Monday. The winds
should diminish by late Monday afternoon reducing the blowing and
drifting snow risks.

Special Weather Statement
In light of the 4 to 8 inches of fluffy snow that fell over the area
on Saturday, northwest winds gusting from 20 to 25 mph overnight will
result in some blowing and drifting snow on area roadways. Many
roads are already snow covered and hazardous, especially in rural
areas. Given that wind chills will fall to colder than 20 below zero
overnight, getting stuck while traveling will be especially
dangerous. If you must travel tonight, leave plenty of distance
between vehicles, make sure you have an emergency kit with you, and
notify someone of your travel plans and expected arrival time.
