Special Weather Statement
A band of snow will track east across central and southeast IL tonight. While the snow will only last 1-2 hours in any given location, snowfall rates could reach 1 inch per hour in spots. This will lead to roads quickly becoming snow covered and slippery. Motorists should prepare for brief periods of low visibility and snow covered roads. Slow down and allow extra distance between the vehicle in front of you.
