09.06.2025 in the nearest 1-3 hours in Riga intensive rainshowers with precipitation amount of 10 mm are expected. BE AWARE of heavy rain!
Under the influence of heavy rain, the soil will become wet and may not be able to absorb water, the rainwater drainage systems may be overloaded. There is a risk that floodplains and low-lying areas, transport infrastructure will be flooded in some places.
In conditions of high humidity, there is a risk of damage to moisture-sensitive crops.
Difficult driving conditions on the road due to reduced visibility and aquaplaning. Consider that you need to plan a longer time for trips.

Orange Thunderstorm Warning
05.06.2025 in the morning and by day in the central and east regions of Latvia thunderstorms with very intensive rainshowers and squalls up to 15-19 m/s, in the south-eastern part up to 20-23 m/s is expected. BE PREPARED for a very heavy thunderstorm!
If possible, immediately seek shelter indoors and follow the instructions given by the responsible authorities.
Outdoor activities will be significantly disrupted. For safety reasons, planned outdoor activities should be cancelled or postponed.
Be careful in places that are especially exposed to the impact of thunderstorms: if you are in the forest, seek shelter in a lower place, in places with lower bushes, while if you are in an open area, take shelter in a low place, for example, in a valley. Avoid being on hills, in open fields, near power lines. While on the water, try to get to the shore and seek shelter immediately.
Take care of pets, they are also at-risk of thunderstorm impact.
Disturbances in power supply, communications, and traffic are expected in large areas.
