Special Weather Statement
Snow showers are moving across portions of Southern Connecticut
and Eastern Suffolk County on Long Island this evening. These are
expected to continue before 900 PM. In addition, wind gusts up to
near 30 mph can be expected at times.
This will result in reduced visibilities, down to near 1 to 2
miles at times, as well as a localized quick coating of snow for
any relatively heavier snow showers.
When encountering these conditions, proceed with extra caution and
be prepared for slippery conditions on any untreated surfaces.
Motorists should slow down and allow for extra space between
vehicles.
