Special Weather Statement
Rain and patchy freezing rain continues across eastern Wisconsin
early this morning as temperatures are stuck around freezing. A
light coating of ice has been observed on elevated surfaces through
the night, but thus far roads remain wet, not icy. It is possible
untreated roads could still have some slick spots on them, so use
caution if traveling early this morning. Isolated power outages
may occur, especially where power lines are in close contact with
trees that have ice on them. Temperatures are expected to slowly
warm through daybreak.

Winter Storm Warning
...BAND OF MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW EXPECTED TONIGHT...
.A band of snow develops across northeast Iowa into southwest
Wisconsin this evening and lasts through the overnight, departing
between sunrise and mid-morning. The snow will be heavy at times
with rates exceeding 1" per hour, quickly leading to snow-covered
and slippery roads. The heaviest snow is forecast to fall in a
relatively narrow band with amounts quickly decreasing on either
side of the band. Any small changes to the placement of the snow
band could change forecast snow amounts at a given location very
quickly. Confidence in heavy amounts is highest in far southwest
Wisconsin into Juneau and Adams Counties and adjacent areas of
northeast Iowa. Areas to the northwest from Charles City to Tomah
may see a few inches of accumulation, but amounts will drop off
quickly in some cases within a few miles.
* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 4 and
7 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.
* WHERE...Adams and Juneau Counties.

TRAVEL CONDITIONS...

Wisconsin this evening and lasts through the overnight, departing
between sunrise and mid-morning. The snow will be heavy at times
with rates exceeding 1" per hour, quickly leading to snow-covered
and slippery roads. The heaviest snow is forecast to fall in a

Areas of fog, locally dense with visibilities as low as 1/4

headlights and keep a safe distance from vehicles in front of you.

ELEVATED FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED FOR MUCH OF SOUTHERN WI...
Clearing skies during the day Wednesday will lead to strong mixing
and thus relative humidities are expected to plummet to 15-25%
with very breezy winds (gusts to 40mph). This will lead to an
increased concern for fire weather.
From: Feb 18, 2026 06:36
Until: Feb 19, 2026 00:00
Special Weather Statement
The combination of low relative humidity values, warm temperatures,
and west-southwesterly winds will result in elevated fire weather
conditions from noon to 6 pm across southwest Wisconsin.
Afternoon relative humidity values will fall to around 20 to 30
percent with winds of 20 to 30 mph, gusting 40 to 45 mph.
Under these conditions, taller, dry vegetation could ignite quickly
and initial fire ignition could quickly spread. Please exercise
caution with any activities that involve outdoor fires or create
sparks, including campfires, grilling, and operating large
equipment. Cigarettes should be disposed of and extinguished
properly. Please heed any local burn bans.

Until: Feb 19, 2026 00:00
Special Weather Statement
A band of light snow this evening (expected accumulations up to
1/2 inch) will be followed by a period of freezing drizzle
tonight into early Monday morning. Expecting roads that are not
snow covered or treated to become slick with freezing drizzle.
Precipitation will end west to east early Monday morning.
Leave extra time for travel tonight and use extra caution, as
conditions may be slippery due to the combination of snow and
freezing drizzle.
From: Feb 02, 2026 00:15
Until: Feb 02, 2026 10:00
Special Weather Statement
At 1150 pm, freezing drizzle continues across southwestern
Wisconsin. Portions of western Wisconsin may see lingering
freezing drizzle for another hour or so before it moves further
east into south central Wisconsin. In southwestern to south
central Wisconsin, freezing drizzle will continue for another 2
to 3 hours.
The impact of the freezing drizzle and any ice glazing will be
greatest for untreated secondary roads. The overall impact of the
icing is prolonged slick roads that were snow covered.
Be careful if moving about this this evening as conditions may be
more slippery due to the combination of snow and freezing
drizzle.
