weather
A change in the weather is approaching.
A low pressure system is going to bring rain to parts of southern Saskatchewan beginning Saturday night. Total amounts of 30 to 60 mm is possible by Monday afternoon. Rain will become mixed with snow on Sunday afternoon to evening with the possibility of some accumulating snow Sunday night.
This system will also bring strong winds gusting up to 80 km/h to certain areas.
Temperatures in the aftermath will drop to single digits for much of the remainder of the week.
The exact track of the low pressure system remains uncertain, which could shift the areas of heaviest precipitation west or south of the currently expected zone. The timing and likelihood of the transition from rain to snow also adds uncertainty to precipitation amounts and impacts.
Rainfall warnings may be issued as the event unfolds.
