Special Weather Statement
A combination of unseasonably warm temperatures, southerly winds
gusting 25 to 35 mph, low humidity, and dry cropland will lead to
elevated fire danger today.
Any fires that ignite, especially in cropland, will spread quickly
and could become difficult to control. Therefore, outdoor burning
is strongly discouraged, and care should be taken to prevent the
start of accidental fires when smoking or operating vehicles and
farm equipment around dry vegetation or crops.
In addition to the fire risk, motorists should be alert for visibility
reductions near farmland as gusty winds could cause dust from harvesting
activities to get lofted.

Special Weather Statement
Due to ongoing drought conditions, relative humidity values dropping
into the 25-35% range, and southerly winds gusting over 20mph...an
enhanced fire danger will develop today.
Burning is highly discouraged as any fires that form will spread
quickly and could become hard to control.
In addition to the fire risk, motorists should be aware of possible
visibility reductions in a few spots on area roadways as dust from
harvesting activities gets lofted by the gusty winds.

Special Weather Statement
Southwest winds gusting up to 30 mph, unseasonably warm
temperatures, low relative humidities, and dry vegetation will
result in a heightened risk of grass, brush, and field fires this
afternoon.
Any fires that ignite may become difficult to control due to the
strong winds and dry conditions. Outdoor burning is strongly
discouraged. Please heed any local burn bans. Take care to prevent
the start of accidental fires when handling cigarettes or
operating vehicles and farm equipment around dry vegetation or
crops.
Additionally, the gusty winds may cause dust from harvesting
activities to be blown around, resulting in localized sharp
visibility reductions. Motorists are advised to use caution when
driving near farmland, particularly on east-west roads in open
areas.
