Remarks: A strong frontal system is moving onto the South Coast region this evening. Moderate to heavy rain will continue over the west and inland sections of Vancouver Island tonight. In the wake of the front, the rain will taper to showers early Friday morning. The highest rainfall amounts are expected over the northwestern portions of the regions, near Gold River and Zeballos.

What: Extremely strong winds, especially over exposed coastal locations.
When: Tonight through midday Thursday.
Where: West coast of northern Vancouver Island, North and Central Coast - coastal sections and Haida Gwaii.
Remarks:
Another strong frontal system will cross Haida Gwaii tonight and then move southeastward across the Central Coast on Thursday. Winds will rise to southeast 90 gusting to 110 km/h over Haida Gwaii this evening before reaching the North Coast overnight and the Central Coast and northern Vancouver Island early Thursday morning.
