Special Weather Statement

Another cold night is in store for the Hill Country and portions of the southern Edwards Plateau. Lows are forecast to drop into the upper teens and lower 20s. Wind chill values are forecast to hit the 12 to 15 degree mark for a few hours between 5 AM CST and 8 AM CST Wednesday. If planning to be outside during these hours, we recommend a ha, gloves, face mask, and insulated shoes to keep you warm.

Extreme cold will become life threatening and likely damage unprotected pipes and put livestock at risk.

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following counties, Bexar, Guadalupe and Wilson. * WHEN...Until 315 AM CST. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1210 AM CST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over the area.
