Special Weather Statement
Light snow will move over far northwest Illinois and adjacent
areas of far eastern Iowa this evening. Some of this may mix with
or turn to freezing drizzle. If so, this will result in slippery
conditions, particularly untreated or elevated surfaces. The light
precipitation is expected to diminish late evening or early
overnight.
Motorists should allow extra travel time in this area this evening,
including in and near Dubuque, Freeport, Galena, and Savanna, and
along U.S. Highway 20. Use caution, including increasing your
following distance from the vehicle ahead of you.
