Satellite imagery, surface observations, and traffic cameras show
patchy dense fog reducing visibility to less than a mile at times
has developed in parts of Brevard, Indian River, Okeechobee,
Osceola, and Saint Lucie counties. Motorists should be prepared
for sudden changes in visibility.
If encountering dense fog on area roadways, use your low beam
headlights, reduce your speed, and maintain a safe following
distance.

Areas of fog, some locally dense, have developed across portions
of South Florida over the past several hours. Localized areas may
experience reduced visibilities to one- quarter of a mile at
times through 8am this morning. If reduced visibilities become
more widespread, a Dense Fog Advisory may be warranted.
Motorists are advised to drive with caution as visibilities may
widely vary over short distances. Use low beam headlights and
leave extra distance between your vehicle and others on the road
when encountering significant reductions in visibility. Allow
extra time to travel to destinations.
