Beginning Friday night and running through the weekend, snow will
spread across the Eastern and Central Interior from southeast to
northwest. Fairbanks North Star Borough west to Tanana and north to

Special Weather Statement
We are monitoring a system in the Bering Sea which will bring
cloud cover and snow to the Western Interior Monday night through
Wednesday morning. The snow may begin as early as 4 to 6 PM on
Monday but the bulk of the snow will fall from about midnight
Monday night through Tuesday night. Snowfall totals will be in the
order of 2 to 5 inches from Ruby westward with amounts up to 7
inches near the South Fork Sulatna River.
Temperatures will rise with the increase in clouds and snow with
maximum temperatures around -5F to -10F and minimum temperatures
around -20F.
East to northeast wind gusts may be as high as 25 to 35 mph at
times which can result in areas of blowing and drifting snow.
