* WHERE...Lower Kuskokwim Valley and Interior Kuskokwim Delta.
* WHEN...From 3 AM Tuesday to 9 AM AKST Thursday.
* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 40 below zero
could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.
Frostbite and hypothermia are likely if exposed to these
temperatures. Wind chill values can lead to hypothermia with
prolonged exposure.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...An arctic airmass continues to spill into
Southwest Alaska today, plummeting high temperatures and dropping
overnight wind chills Tuesday morning to as low as 40 below. The
airmass begins to moderate late week, allowing ambient
temperatures and wind chills to recover.

* IMPACTS...Visibilities reduced to one half mile or less due to
blowing snow. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday
evening and Friday morning commutes.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The areas most affected will be coastal
communities along the Kuskokwim Delta and Bristol Bay regions.
Winds begin to slowly diminish Saturday morning, which in turn
will decrease blowing snow potential.

4 and 8 inches, with localized additional amounts of 10 to 18
inches from Port Alsworth to Igiugig. Winds gusting as high as 40

* WHERE...Lime Village and the Lake Iliamna, Nila Vena, and
Nanvarpak areas
* WHEN...Until 11 AM AKST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow
could significantly reduce visibility. Gusty winds could blow
around unsecured objects.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Areas of stronger winds, especially around
Lake Iliamna, may produce blowing snow that could significantly
reduce visibility. The latest models are trending towards a
quicker end to snowfall, which may taper off by early Tuesday
morning.

* IMPACTS...Visibilities reduced to one quarter mile or less due to
blowing snow. Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing
snow could significantly reduce visibility. Gusty winds could blow
around unsecured objects.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Visibilities may drop to one-quarter to
one-half mile in blowing snow as gusty northeasterly winds
continue.

Stronger winds across the western half of Kuskokwim Valley (near
Aniak and Kalskag) may produce blowing snow that could
significantly reduce visibility at times.
