The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect from 9 AM this morning to 6 PM CST
this evening.
* AFFECTED AREA...Adams, Franklin, Jefferson, Lawrence and Lincoln
counties in Mississippi and Catahoula and Concordia parishes in
Louisiana.
* WIND...North wind 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
* HUMIDITY...As low as 20 to 25 percent.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.

* WHEN...Until noon CST today.
* IMPACTS...An extended period of freezing temperatures could cause
ruptured water pipes. Very cold wind chills and temperatures can
lead to frostbite and hypothermia, especially with prolonged
exposure and if unprotected skin is exposed to these temperatures
and wind chills. Extensive power outages and snow and ice cover
persist from previous ice storm. This dangerous cold will only
exacerbate the impacts felt in those affected areas.
