Special Weather Statement
Nighttime infrared satellite imagery and surface observations
indicate that areas of locally dense fog continue to develop
along the Interstate 75 corridor in the Suwannee Valley and north
central Florida. Locations along and west of U.S. Highway 301 will
likely be impacted by these areas of locally dense fog through
the early to mid morning hours today. Fog will likely remain west
of the Interstate 95 corridor this morning.
The nature of the fog is such that visibilities will vary greatly
over short distances. Motorists should be alert for rapidly
changing conditions early this Friday morning. If you plan on
driving along the Interstate 75 or U.S. Highway 301 corridors
this morning, slow down and leave extra distance ahead of you in
case a sudden stop is needed.
